In 2019 Jazzercise, Inc., the company that catapulted "aerobic dance" to notoriety in the 1980s, becomes the first ever dance fitness brand to celebrate the 50-year mark. The always-evolving program was created in the Chicagoland area in 1969 by Founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Missett, with a single aerobic dance class based on classical jazz dance.
